Cotton House Hotel

A Marriott Luxury & Lifestyle Hotel

Housed in the former headquarters of the city’s cotton guild, this hotel has honoured its origins. As well as original features and antique furniture, this hotel from the Autograph collection offers elegantly decorated rooms, a seasonal outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant.

This 19th-century neoclassical building was transformed by renowned designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán who has worked his theatrical, baroque magic on the once home to the cotton-makers’ guild. Belle Epoque features, such as the cotton flower-shaped chandelier hanging above a sweeping marble staircase that rises to the first-floor reception and artfully desilvered wall-to-ceiling mirrors reflect vast sprays of cotton bolls and snowy white sofas, and a majestic 1950s suspended spiral staircase rises from the vestibule.

Frequent readers at The Travel Gem will appreciate that we have found a pool for you, this one located on the sixth floor. Furthermore there is a stylish bar and a restaurant. Guests can also enjoy some Spanish Tapas on the terrace, but you will also find a wide range of dining options and shops in the surrounding streets.
